Whole-Person Care, Led by Compassion and Evidence

Abundant Health & Wellness was created to provide thoughtful, physician-led care for people seeking meaningful, lasting improvements in their health.

We believe wellness is not about rapid fixes or one-size-fits-all plans. It’s about listening deeply, practicing evidence-based medicine, and building care plans that reflect the full person — body, mind, and lived experience.

Our approach prioritizes safety, clarity, and long-term well-being through personalized medical guidance and ongoing support.

Dr. Adrienne Robertson, MD

Founder and Medical Director

Board-certified family medicine physician with focused training in obesity and metabolic health

I was born in New Orleans and raised by parents whose childhoods unfolded along Bayou Lafourche, where generations of families—like mine—lived and worked on the sugar-cane plantations that shaped much of rural Louisiana’s history. Though I later spent my earliest years in North Carolina and grew up primarily in Virginia, Louisiana has always been the place my heart recognizes as home. Those roots—woven with music, food, resilience, and deep family connection—shaped my understanding of what it truly means to live abundantly.

From an early age, I also learned how painful healthcare can be when you are not truly seen. My own experiences as a patient navigating a system that often rushed, dismissed, or minimized my concerns left an imprint on me. I knew what it felt like when your voice seems invisible. I carried that knowing with me into medicine—with a clear intention to practice differently. I entered this profession with one purpose: to create a space where people feel heard, honored, and genuinely cared for.

In 2025, I experienced a stillbirth delivery that forever changed how I understand life, health, and purpose. Grief reordered everything. Yet in the midst of that heartbreak, I found a clarity that became the compass for the rest of my life: health is what allows us to be present for the moments—and the people—that matter most. Abundant Health and Wellness was born from that truth, and it became my way of honoring my son’s life by helping others live more fully in their own lives.

My approach blends evidence-based medical care with compassionate, shame-free support. I believe in pairing science with soul—treating root causes while also honoring the emotional, cultural, and lived experiences that shape each person’s story.
When I’m not caring for clients, you’ll find me embracing the simple joys that make life feel abundant: dancing on trampolines with my kids, traveling to experience new cultures and foods, kayaking across still water, wandering through nature, feeling the sun warm my face, or lying in soft grass and listening to the world breathe around me. These moments anchor me in the “why” behind this work. My purpose is simple: to help you feel well, live fully, and be present for the moments that mean the most.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee with specialized training in behavioral health and five years of clinical experience. Before becoming a therapist, I proudly served twenty-one years in the United States Air Force. Those years shaped my understanding of resilience, teamwork, and what it means to support others through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

My path to behavioral health was forged through a desire to help people feel grounded, understood, and empowered—especially during times of transition, stress, or emotional pain. Having witnessed the profound impact of human connection in both military and civilian environments, I approach therapy with deep respect for every person’s lived experience.

My counseling style begins with meeting you exactly where you are. From there, we work together to explore the direction you want to go, building a space rooted in sensitivity, compassion, and honest dialogue. I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities—CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and Gestalt methods—to support meaningful, sustainable growth.

Outside the therapy room, I’m energized by the simple joys that keep me grounded: practicing martial arts—a discipline I’ve loved for over twenty years—kayaking across quiet water, camping under open skies, listening to bluegrass music, and learning to play the banjo. I also treasure moments spent laughing and playing with children, or reflecting peacefully while lounging in a hammock.

My purpose is simple: To walk alongside you with steadiness, empathy, and respect as you grow into the strongest version of yourself.

Client experience manager

As a Client Experience Manager, I lead with empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to pursue personal transformation. My own journey—including recovery from a twelve-year addiction—taught me the power of compassion, human connection, and the belief that every person deserves to feel valued, supported, and seen.

Those lessons shape the way I show up each day. I listen with intention, approach every interaction with kindness, and work to create thoughtful solutions for the unique needs of each client. My goal is to ensure every person who walks through our doors feels safe, respected, and cared for—because your experience matters just as much as your outcomes.

Outside of work, I find joy in the things that keep me connected and inspired: traveling with my wife, cooking warm family meals, tending to the garden and shaping the landscape around our home, and doting on our beloved furbaby, Ziggy. I’m also an avid Star Trek fan and love exploring its themes of curiosity, courage, and possibility—values that echo the heart of the work I do every day.

My purpose is this: To make your journey feel supported, welcomed, and thoughtfully guided from the moment you arrive.
